Gooder Foods has announced it is recalling several lots of its Goodles Vegan Is Believin’ and Here Comes Truffle products, due to potential milk and cashew content not declared on the label.
The company says 5 lots of the Vegan Is Believin’ - Plant Based White Cheddar with Spirals may contain milk and 3 lots of the Here Comes Truffle – Creamy Truffle Flavored Cheddar and Shells may contain cashew, with neither of the ingredients listed on the label. The recalled lots were produced between April 7 and April 15, 2025.
The products were distributed nationally to wholesale distributors and operators and online between 04/29/2025 and 08/05/2025. The applicable UPC and lot codes can be found on the outside of the product.
The issue was discovered through consumer feedback, with six reported allergic reactions in connection with Here Comes Truffle and two reported in connection with Vegan is Believin’. Gooder Foods states it is notifying all distributors, retailers and consumers who may have received the impacted lots.
Persons who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk and/or cashew may run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. The company advises consumers who have purchased the recalled product not to consume it and to return it to place of purchase for a refund. Gooder Foods adds that the recall is being made with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
In July, Walmart recalled approximately 850,000 of its stainless steel water bottles after their lids were found to forcefully eject when opened, causing ‘serious impact and laceration hazards’, including vision loss. According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), three consumers reported injuries after being struck in the face by an ejected lid.
More recently, Blue Bell Ice Cream voluntarily recalled a limited quantity of its ice cream after it was mistakenly distributed in another flavour’s packaging, resulting in undeclared health risks for consumers with nut allergies. The packaging in question can be identified as a half-gallon Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough carton with a Moo-llennium Crunch Ice Cream lid, displaying the code ‘061027524’.
