Absolut Vodka and Tabasco have unveiled a new bottle to coincide with the launch of a new spicy vodka, Absolut Tabasco, due to be introduced from February 2026 onwards across over 50+ markets, including the US and the UK.

Created by fusing Absolut Vodka with a ‘natural essence’ created from the fermented, aged red pepper mash used to make Tabasco sauce, the drink is said to deliver the heat and aroma of the pepper sauce within the vodka. The design of the Absolut Tabasco Vodka bottle blends the green and white colours and diamond-shaped label of Tabasco sauce with Absolut’s ‘apothecary-inspired’ shape.

Both companies say their products are made from three ingredients - handpicked red peppers, salt, and vinegar for Tabasco’s sauce, and locally sourced water, a proprietary strain of yeast and winter wheat for Absolut’s vodka.

In related news, last year Absolut announced it had successfully trialled an ‘industry-first’ paper-based cap and bottle duo in collaboration with Blue Ocean Closures (BOC), as part of its goal to create a fully biobased bottle. The long-term ambition is to replace the plastic with a biobased material so the entire cap will be made of renewable materials.
