Leading design, print and packaging manufacturer, Leicester-based Qualvis, has announced the appointment of Adrian Collins as its new managing director. He replaces the firm’s current managing director, Jason Short, who becomes chairman of the business.
A specialist in strategy and business leadership driving transformational change, Collins has a successful background in implementing business improvement platforms across market sectors within SMEs and large scale PLCs. He previously worked in a number of key roles as an investor, managing director, chief operating officer and several executive leadership positions across commercial, financial and operations worldwide.
As MD at Qualvis, Collins will continue to develop the company’s loyal and highly skilled workforce, whilst further enhancing Qualvis’ partnerships across its supply chain. Following a period of high profile investments last year, including a double digital packaging line and a KBA Rapida 106 press, the firm is looking to consolidate its position as a leading print and packaging business and further develop its brand ambassadors to create future packaging innovation.
Commenting on his appointment, Collins said: "I am incredibly proud to be leading and guiding such a committed and talented team through an immense amount of change, investment and market growth.
"It is an incredibly exciting new phase for Qualvis Print and Packaging in the UK and European markets and I am hugely looking forward to taking such an already established company and brand to new levels, pushing boundaries and further transforming the design print and packaging sector."
In his new board leadership role, Jason Short, joint-owner of the second generation family business, will continue to build on the success of the Qualvis brand. His additional responsibilities include being chairman of BPIF Cartons, an advisory member of the ECMA executive committee and a worldwide ambassador for Xerox.
Qualvis is exhibiting on stand G45 at Packaging Innovations 2018 at the NEC, Birmingham on 28 Feb to 1 Mar.
