With the aim of meeting demand from the perfumery and cosmetics industries for more environmentally friendly caps, Pujolasos has designed a glue-free wood cap with a disposable plastic inner that can be recycled post-use.
According to the company, its new innovation, Woodle, is compatible with most existing and potential developments, both in perfumery and cosmetics, and the disposable inner can also be injected in PCR.
This patent can be applied to any plastic development and is reportedly applicable to any material that covers such plastic innovation, not just wood.
In a press release announcing the release of the new product, Pujolasos said: “Wood is a noble, organic, and 100% natural material associated with luxury and sustainability. If it is complemented with this 'Woodle' innovation, it responds to the current market need and demand aimed at offering consumers sustainable packaging products for the beauty sector.
"The new development departments of major brands in the sector work very hard on obtaining more sustainable packaging and offering the consumer a more ecological packaging."
