It is already widely used across a range of packaging applications such as label inspection, code verification, fill-level and completeness inspection and reject handling. Representing companies active in this varied field, the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) was founded in Barcelona in 2003 and is a non-profit, non-commercial association that represents the machine vision industry in Europe and initiated the conversation for this report.
