The packaging solution Pharma Compliance Pack from the August Faller Group combines two important industry requirements: It supports patients in correctly taking medication and fulfils the requirements regarding more room for information with its leporello label.
The company has now received a further renowned distinction for the innovative solution that was already awarded the German Packaging award in 2016 and the Pharmapack Award in 2017: the German Design Award 2018 in the “Packaging” category. The award ceremony took place on February 9th at the Ambiente trade fair.
Medication made easyThe Compliance Pack makes it easier for patients to take the exact dose of medicine, thereby improving their treatment compliance. Thanks to perforated tabs that are peeled off before the tablets are taken, the blisters can only be taken from the packets in “portions”. In this way, patients take their medication at the right time, in the correct order and in the prescribed amount.
The innovative, five-sided leporello label is Faller response to the increasing need to provide space for more information. Thanks to the zigzag arrangement in the leporello format, the label provides plenty of space for product information, logos and pictograms. Opening and closing is made easy for the patient. In addition, partial labels can be integrated. These are detachable and can be glued into the patient file or calendar, for example, for documentation purposes.
More value added by combining both productsBoth products, the Compliance Pack and the leporello label, can be combined ideally with one another. When provided with a leporello label, the Pharma Compliance Pack is suitable not only for self medication, but can also be used in hospitals, for clinical trials or in personalised medicine.
The combination of folding carton and label won the jury over. “The creative and intelligent packaging solution supports the prescribed intake of medication. As such, the medically reliable graphic design wins the trust of users,” was the verdict of the committee.
“We are delighted to be receiving this additional significant award for our innovative solution to support the intake of medication. This validates our development work,” adds Holger Knöll, product developer at the August Faller Group.
