
At interpack 2026, the Spotlight Forum will feature daily presentations, demonstrations, and panel discussions from a range of industry professionals – spanning a range of themes, from regulation to the next generation of innovators.
The Spotlight Forum will take place on an information platform at the North Station entrance. A full rundown of the daily programme is available here, but read on for a rundown of each day’s events.
Day 1: Opportunities and Risks of the PPWR
Sponsored by REA Elektronik, the first day will feature presentations and discussions from Mondi, Wipak, SIT Group, and more – all revolving around various aspects of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation. Exhibiting companies, associations, and politicians will also discuss the Regulation in detail.
Day 2: Resource Efficiency
Associations like Flexible Packaging Europe and the European Co-Packers Association, exhibitors like Aasted, and brand owners will demonstrate efforts to save raw materials and energy in packaging applications. Manufacturers and brand owners will also showcase a range of presentations and discussions.
Day 3: Smart Packaging
Domino, Braskem, and TNA are among the exhibitors scheduled to present on the topic of smart packaging. The Fraunhofer Institute and Amazon will also provide insights into ‘future-proof’ solutions.
Day 4: Smart Systems and AI
Syntegon is sponsoring the fourth day of the event, joining McKinsey and other industry representatives in covering the increasing role of automation in the future of packaging.
Day 5: Circular Economy
This topic will showcase materials and solutions from exhibitors such as Metsä Board, Sonoco and Jokey, and branded goods manufacturers like Seeberger and Nespresso. Together, the companies aim to shine a spotlight on every stage of packaging and recyclability processes.
Recycling service provider PreZero will also represent Schwarz Group and discuss the food retail sector’s steps towards a closed-loop circular economy.
Day 6: Innovative Packaging
The penultimate day will feature new materials and processing solutions, presented by Tesa, Henkel, ProAmpac, the VDMA, Printcity, and more. Start-up pitches will also take place at lunchtime.
Day 7: Young Talents
Last but not least, the Spotlight Forum will showcase young talent on the final day of interpack. Associations like the VDMA and IK will host project presentations, while HR managers from exhibiting companies will talk about ways to attract young talent into the packaging industry.
School and university students will be invited to exchange ideas; and interpack will host the Science Slam, in which one of several next-generation research projects will be crowned the winner.
