Eriez plans to launch its X8-SF Metal Detector at interpack 2026 on May 7th, designed for food processors seeking greater consistency and reliability in product inspection.
The X8-SF expands the company’s PrecisionGuard X8 inspection line which features a hygienic design, an intuitive interface and integrated data capture to support traceability and compliance. The system aims to help processors improve product quality while minimizing disruption to operations.
Alongside the X8-SF preview, Eriez also plans to showcase its broader inspection and material handling solutions including X-ray inspection systems, magnetic separation equipment, and vibratory feeders. The company states that these technologies help processors protect product quality, safeguard equipment and optimise production efficiency.
At interpack, visitors to the Eriez stand in Hall 21, C05 will be able to observe live demonstrations of the system.
Last year Eriez manufactured its largest X8 Metal Detector to identify contaminants in packaging, plastics, recycling, and other processing applications. Standard features include multiple communication ports; auto setup and product learning; one-touch log reporting and a high-pressure washdown design.
In other interpack news, Fortress Technology is due to showcase its latest touchscreen solution at the event, seeking to improve food safety and ‘significantly reduce’ human error in fast-paced manufacturing facilities. The new design features contrasting icons and a multi-colour warning system, aiming to ensure that staff can immediately access all the critical control point (CCP) information even in high-pressure situations.
