Grace Foods, a major supplier of Caribbean food and drink products, has launched a new pack design for its Dunn’s River seasoning range.

The company hopes that its new visual identity will deliver stronger shelf standout and help it to command more attention in-store as a result of bold colour coding and vibrant graphics inspired by the Caribbean.

The Dunn’s River seasonings range is ubiquitous in Caribbean food stores across the UK and Europe, and includes products such as Chicken, Fish, All Purpose, Jerk, Curry Goat and Barbecue Seasoning, alongside herbs, spices and fry mixes.

At the same time as launching refreshed packaging for its existing products, Grace Foods is also rolling out a new product: Jamaican Green Seasoning. Inspired by a flavour base that is widely used across Caribbean home cooking, this new flavouring consists of spring onion, white onion, thyme, garlic, and chilli peppers. It leans into specifically Jamaican flavours by not including coriander or culantro; ingredients that are more associated with Eastern Caribbean green seasonings.

A representative from the company told Packaging Europe: “With the launch of our new Jamaican Green Seasoning and the refreshed look for our seasonings range, we’re giving the Dunn’s River brand an even stronger presence on shelf. The bold new design better reflects the vibrancy and authenticity of Caribbean food while making it easier for shoppers to discover the breadth of the range.

The refreshed seasonings range will begin rolling out across all major supermarket groups and convenience stores this month, with the new Dunn’s River Jamaican Green Seasoning initially available through cash and carry wholesalers and convenience stores.
