Ardagh Heritage bottles

Ardagh Glass Packaging-North America (AGP-North America), part of Ardagh Group, has introduced a new bottle colour and closure option to its 12oz Heritage glass beer bottle portfolio.

The two new 12oz (355ml) Heritage bottles are available in flint (clear) glass with a pry-off closure and amber (brown) glass with a twist-off closure.

“Ardagh Glass Packaging continues to design and manufacture distinctive glass packaging that delivers brand differentiation for craft brewers and beverage producers,” said Rashmi Markan, chief commercial officer for AGP-North America. “The new 12oz Heritage bottles have a nostalgic look, while offering a wider label area for additional design flexibility and branding options in a shorter, lightweight container, when compared to a traditional long-neck bottle.”

Ardagh adds that craft beverage producers can contact the company to purchase the expanded collection of Heritage bottles in less than truckload (LTL) or truckload quantities.

Towards the end of 2024, Ardagh Glass Packaging-Europe announced its new range of lightweight wine bottles produced in Germany for the European market, with a recycled glass cullet level of up to 80%. The bottles were also said to have a weight reduction from 410g to 360g, resulting in a carbon reduction of 12%.

A few months later, AGP-Europe partnered with Hernö Gin to produce its new 500ml lightweight bottles with a reported 31% carbon emission reduction. The first bottle designs to be launched were Hernö Dry Gin, Hernö Old Tom Gin and Hernö Botanical Gin.
