Our Sustainable Packaging Summit kicks off this Thursday 29th October from 12:00 to 13:30 (CET) with an unmissable discussion looking into the fundamental objectives of packaging sustainability.

What fundamental sustainability goals should we set for packaging? There has been a fierce concentration on packaging waste over recent years, but less in the FMCG context on carbon emissions. What are the priorities? How should the task of decarbonization inform our approach to the task of eliminating waste?

In this panel, our distinguished speakers will explore the fundamental objectives of sustainability, and consider how these basic requirements can help us navigate the competing visions (such as recycling single-use packaging, reuse, or focus on renewables) of a circular economy.

From differing vantage points across the value chain, they will draw on their experience of innovation and collaboration to point to effective strategies for positive environmental impacts.

Speakers:

  • Nina Goodrich (Director, Sustainable Packaging Coalition)
  • Archana Jagannathan (Senior Director for Sustainable Packaging, PepsiCo)
  • Gerald Rebitzer (Director, Sustainability, Amcor Flexibles)
  • Erik Lindroth (Sustainability Director, Tetra Pak)
