Feldmuehle GmbH will present its diverse product portfolio in the area of packaging solutions at the European packaging industry trade fair FachPack.
Particular attention will be given to the trend towards high-white visual appearances as well as the functional surfaces of packaging papers. Besides kraftliner, SBS board and label papers, the company is highlighting its flexible packaging papers.
This year’s focus will be on speciality papers with functional surfaces for product safety in the food sector, such as papers with mineral oil barrier and heat-sealable packaging paper.
Heat-sealable paper as a recyclable alternative to plastic The flexible packaging paper with a heat-sealable reverse side and mineral oil barrier is the latest addition to the Feldmuehle product range. It can be used for sealed packaging such as stand-up pouches, flow packs, block-bottom bags, tea sachets or edge-sealed pouches and is also suitable for direct contact with dry and fatty foodstuffs.
This paper provides brand owners with a natural and environmentally friendly alternative to films and composite materials. It is classified as mono-material and can easily be recycled in the waste paper cycle. Additionally, packers benefit as the material can be used on existing packing lines also processing film or paperPE-composites.
With its high white, glossy or matt, pigmented surface, the paper is suitable for both high-quality printed packaging as well as for simple inner pouch solutions for a special natural look and feel. In hall 7A, booth 336 of the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre, experts from Feldmuehle will provide advice and information about the special features and application options of their diverse packaging solutions.
