IK, Industrievereinignung Kunststoffverpackungen, the German association for plastic packaging, and EuPC, European Plastics Converters, are organising together the 2019 edition of the conference A Circular Future with Plastics. The two associations, representing plastics converters both at national and European level, will bring together over 200 participants from across Europe, who will work together during two days of conferences, debates and networking opportunities.
The two-day event will take place on 13th & 14th June at the Maritim Hotel proArte in Berlin. During the morning of the 13th June, the "EuPC Market Divisions" on Packaging, Automotive and Building & Construction will take place in parallel, before a session on marine litter is organised by Waste Free Oceans in the afternoon. During the conference on the 14th June, representatives of national and European politics, CEOs of the plastics converting and recycling world, as well as other industry leaders will share their knowledge and experience about the trends of the sector.
“The sustainability and circularity of plastics and plastic products continue to be the most important topics for our industry. Companies need to work hard to keep up with the fast development of legislation and consumer behaviour..” Said EuPC Managing Director Alexandre Dangis. “Family owned businesses as well as CEOs of larger plastics converting companies should not miss this strategic event.”
In the light of the most recent developments on the European level, and based on the ever growing importance of waste prevention, reuse as well as recycling, the theme of the event and debates will continue to be "A Circular Future with Plastics".
"The conference offers the necessary forum to discuss the current challenges of the plastics converting industry for representatives from the whole supply chain and from politics and media. We look forward to welcoming guests from all over Europe to this exciting event in Berlin”, said Dr. Jürgen Bruder, Managing Director of IK.
