Emsur, the flexible plastic packaging division of Grupo Lantero, has acquired the majority of Eximpack since it was partially acquired more than two years ago.

The relationships in between the two companies have been very fruitful, integrating expertise from both sides and complementing each other to add value to their clients. This movement is within the strategic framework of the company that aims to grow in new regions and expand its global footprint, increase its products and technologies portfolio and remark its focus on the beverages market and the dairy sector.

Eximpack´s core business are the shrink sleeves in eastern Europe where they are market leaders. It started its activity as a family business in 1998 in St. Petersburgh. Now, it counts with a highly efficient 10,000 sqm production site fully equipped with a skilled workforce of 240 people, and rotogravure and extrusion for shrink film technologies. Since a few months ago, it´s operating with two new investments: a new line of gravure printing and a Combi laminator that increases the existing capacity up to 115Mm2.

The Eximpack´s acquisition highpoints the group´s commitment to the Russian market and its involvement to improve and increase the delivery of high-quality products across the whole European region including the eastern countries, a strategic decision that accompanies the one made in Coexpan, the rigid packaging division of Grupo Lantero, who is going to open a new factory in Moscow.

“I am proud to announce Eximpack as our new strategic acquired partner. We are going to spread our professionalism, innovative products and quality service to the Eastern Europe. This is a win-win movement where we keep growing globally as well as adding higher value into the beverages market with a great expertise in sleeves”, said Andres Lantero, President of Grupo Lantero and CEO of Emsur.

Andrey Smirnov, General Manager of Emsur Eximpack, added: “We are very pleased that the collaborative agreement with Emsur group is carried out so efficiently. We have defined ambitious market growth goals and are eager to show the flexible packaging industry what we are capable of within the sleeves spectrum”.
