Placon was recently announced as the winner of three WorldStar awards in the Household (PACLOCK Bi-Fold Clamshell), Medical & Pharmaceutical (ORTHOFIX® Medical Tray) and Food (HomeFresh® Entrée) categories.
The PACLOCK Bi-Fold Clamshell, winning design in the Household category, reportedly allows PACLOCK to have 100% more space to hold graphic and product information within the package. More product information allows the end customer to read and learn about the product prior to purchase, which, Placon says, will increase point of sale by giving more information to the customer.
The ORTHOFIX® Medical Tray, winner in the Medical and Pharmaceutical award category, has features that suspend a set of medical device screws with HA coating that prevents abrasion or rubbing off the critical coating that is required to be on each screw for proper medical operating room usage.
The Food category winning design was HomeFresh® Entrée by Placon. The product is designed to stack neatly, in order to avoid tipping over and causing spillages for the end-user. It also features a leak-resistant lid, vented or non-vented lid options, and is microwavable.
