“We are definitely satisfied with the outcome of the 2012 edition of Achema. It granted our customers the opportunity to physically assess the innovative solutions that our machines and complete and integrated lines are able to offer for all requirements of the packaging industry. The group thus confirms that it is “THE” reference point for multinational enterprises but also for small-medium sized companies of the worldwide pharmaceutical marketplace”. This is what Maurizio Marchesini, CEO of the Marchesini Group and newly appointed Chairman of the Industrialists Association (Confindustria) for Emilia-Romagna, had to say at the end of the recent edition of Achema 2012, which took place in Frankfurt, last June, 18th to 22nd. Achema is one of the most important international trade fares involving the Chemical Engineering, Environmental Safeguard and Biotechnology industries, which is held every three years.
Hundreds of people entered Marchesini’s stand each day throughout the 5-day event. Customers of the Group who came from every corner of the world, especially Europe, Middle and Far East, India, China and Latin America, were particularly intrigued with the innovative technological solutions created by Marchesini for the pharmaceutical packaging sector.
Among the most appreciated lines on show in the attractive stand of roughly 500 m² were the sterile ampoule line, the “FAST” blister line (the fastest ever to be produced by Marchesini) and the robotic line “Unica” that integrates the deep forming and carton packaging operations in one monobloc unit.
Among the stand-alone machines in the spot lights were the new filling and capping machine for small bottles “OPTO150”, designed according to the specific requirements of ophthalmic products, the syringe filler “FSP05” with its new integrated weight control system and the brand new “VALIDA” unit, a cutting-edge counting machine equipped with a new and patented counting and control system that measures the mass of tablets and capsules.
To finish, the typical cuisine of the Emilia region that the Group offered its guests was yet again greatly appreciated. To add to the event’s success, Marchesini’s restaurant set-up at the stand served hundreds of meals each day throughout the 5-day exhibition. Triumphant is not only “made-in-Italy” technology but also “made-in-Italy” gastronomy: typical Bolognese dishes prepared on-site by the expert hands of Giusy and Monica.
